Sale of the Westerly Hospital lauded by national trade group

"Superior Court Associate Justice Brian P. Stern appointed Providence-based attorney Mark Russo as special master to run the hospital during the receivership and to seek bids for its acquisition. Stern presided over dozens of hearings and conferences in the process. Russo spent much of his time at the facility and was responsible, along with hospital administrators, for overseeing daily operations of the hospital. Russo, under Stern’s oversight, also was responsible for navigating the foreclosure process with creditors, terms of the sale, and the eventual transition to L M ownership."
